AIBE result and qualifying marks
AIBE is qualifying, not competitive. There is no rank and no cut-off that moves with the cohort. You need 45 out of 100 — 40 if you are SC, ST or PwD.
Where the dates come from
The Bar Council of India Trust announces registration, admit card and result dates on allindiabarexamination.com. We do not republish a date until it is on that site — a wrong deadline costs a candidate an attempt. This page explains the process; check the official notification for the day.
Qualifying marks
| Category | Marks required | Percentage |
|---|---|---|
| General and OBC | 45 | 45% |
| SC, ST and PwD | 40 | 40% |
Because there is no negative marking, those 45 marks are the only target. Fifty-five questions may go wrong and you still pass.
The sequence
- Provisional answer key — published first, with a window to raise objections against a fee, refunded if the objection succeeds.
- Final answer key — after objections are decided. Questions are sometimes dropped, and marks redistributed.
- Result — pass or fail, with your score.
- Certificate of Practice — issued to those who qualify. What it is and when it arrives →
If you did not clear it
There is no limit on attempts and no penalty for a previous failure. The usual reason is pace, not knowledge — candidates who know the law run out of time looking for it.
